I strongly believe that anyone can learn how to play piano and sing.

My name is Kristine Dandavino and I teach piano and singing lessons in Oshawa for children and adults from beginners to intermediate/advanced levels. I offer RCM exam preparation, theory lessons and memorization skills. I am the Treasurer of the Oshawa and District Branch of the Ontario Registered Music Teacher's Association (ORMTA), the founder of Oshawa Opera and a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS). I strongly believe that anyone can learn how to play piano and sing!

I teach Monday to Saturday with various available times. I am available to teach in the day and evenings I look forward to teaching YOU how to sing or play piano!

LESSONS


PIANO LESSONS

I specialize in teaching all pianists how to read music and to play piano with a strong technique.  All lessons are taught on a Samick Grand piano. All lessons are unique and based on the student's specific needs with a focus on sound quality, technique, musicianship and style. Students are encouraged to participate in studio recitals, music festivals, examinations.  However, if they so chose, students can always learn piano without the pressure of performing.  I teach classical, popular, rock, jazz, blues and easy listening. All musical genres are possible!

VOICE LESSONS

We accept voice students from the age of 7.
All singing lessons are taught in a high ceiling room with the support of a grand piano.
Pop singing lessons include training with microphones.

All lessons are unique and based on the student's specific needs with a focus on vocal production, diction, stamina, posture. Teaching will include sessions in the form of classical, musical theatre, jazz, pop, rock, country and sacred music. 
Singing Languages include: French, English, Italian, Latin, German and Spanish.

Piano students can start learning as early as 5 years of age.

Beginners: 
30 minutes weekly lessons = $27.50 per week
Intermediate:
45 minutes weekly lessons = $40 per week
Advanced:
60 minutes per week = $55 per week
 

Lessons are payable on the First of each Month, in advance to reserve your time slot. Cash, cheques or electronic bank transfers are accepted as methods of payment.
